Hi everyone! How are you? As you know, this year we are going to study the music from  some different countries of the world, starting with Japan . By the moment, I would like you to get familiar with the Japanese culture by taking a  look at this traditional dance called Ena Bushi .  With delicate movements, the dancers represent the rice growing and harvest.  As you may know, rice cultivation is very important in Japan as in many other Asian countries, and rice is the main ingredient in popular dishes such as sushi. Have you ever tried it? Now have a look at the dance and enjoy the music! See you soon

Hello everybody! Are you ready to meet a new composer? Beethoven is one of the greatest composers of the History of the Music and the best way to learn about him is starting by his music.  This week we are going to listen to one of the most famous pieces he composed, I am sure you listen to this melody before. Now you can see an animation meanwhile you enjoy the music.  Listen to the music carefully because you should complete a listening log with some aspects that you have to pay attention to. Finally you can draw anything that it inspires you.

Hello everybody!  Listen to this music and you will be tapping  its rhythm 🥁 for the next few days. Now I would like you to identify the instruments that are playing the main melody of this famous musical piece. The composer is Maurice Ravel and we will talk about his music during this month. Take a paper and take note of the instruments that play the melody and try to write something about each of them (family, size, pitch...). Enjoy the activity!!

TIMBRE

Imagen
Hello everybody!! Ready to learn what is TIMBRE? Any idea? I am sure you are saying ding-dong right now 😊  Well, we can identify voices and instruments  even when we cannot see who or what is making the sound and this is because of the timbre. I propose to you find different objects or people at home that make different sounds, then make a list and describe how are those sounds. Here it is a table that you can use to do that.
